PUPPIES

Example photos below on puppies that might be available based on genetic tests

In Completion of AKC's canine college & embark tests, we've come to pair prediction of genetic diversity for possible coat colors that will be available.

Coat Colors

E Locus: 100% EE

K locus: 50% KBKy, 50% KyKy

A Locus: 100% atat

B Locus: 100% bb

D locus: 50% DD 50% Dd

Based on that information, we predict the following possible outcome:

50% of the litter is predicted to have solid brown coat with copper pigment

50% of the litter is predicted to have a brown tan point coat with copper pigment.

Also, Since Fritz carries one merle Gene, and Autumn does not, but carries the blue eyed gene, we do expect 1-3 will have 1 or 2 blue eyes. Solid coat colors in Aussies are very rare so im hoping to bring some uniqueness back into the breed.

INFO: Australian Shepherd coat colors include blue merle, red merle, black, and red, which can all be solid, or have white markings and/or tan (copper) points. Other colors like sable, yellow, and brindle can also occur, though they are not part of the breed standard. The two main merle colors have a marbled pattern, while the solid colors are uniform, and "tri" colors are a mix of the base color with white and tan markings.

Genetic Health testing

The expected offpring COI is 5%

Autumn & Fritz also have a COR of 10%

50% of this litter will carry 1 copy of MDR1

50% of this litter will carry one copy of DCM1

50% of this litter will carry one copy of Laryngeal Paralysis & Polyneuropathy Variant (PDK4-chr)

There will/should not be any increased health risks with this litter. For further information feel free to reach out to emabark and discuss any other questions with your vet. Overall, this is a good outcome!
